3 Tips For Dog Training – Train Your Dog Today

Article by Clay Harris

Do you wish your dog would obey you and not drive you crazy? Maybe he/she chases cars or constantly barks or is aggressive to other dogs or people. Well I am going to try and help you train your dog with a few Dog Training Obedience Tips because I was in your shoes not too long ago. My dog use to bark constantly at cars and other people. She wouldn’t obey me when I told her to do something and I had had enough. So I started looking for answers from friends, family, and just anyone that knew a little about dogs in general. Well with the information and help I received I started using these tips on my own dog and within a few hours I noticed a difference.

Now these tips work very well, but you can’t expect your dog to just be completely different in a day. It takes steady work to make your dog listen to you and obey, but if you are consistent with the tips given your dog will change his ways fast with my Dog Training Obedience Tips.

When a dog obeys you it builds a stronger relationship. You will trust your dog more and be happier in owning the dog you own. One of the most important things to remember when training your dog to obey you is to be consistent and make it easy for your dog. Don’t make a situation complicated, give your dog simple tasks which will involve simple decisions for your dog to make and show the dog which choice is the better one.

You need to be realistic and fair to your dog. Don’t scold him for not doing something correctly on the first try. Do it over and over until he learns the correct way, then when he chooses the right decision, reward him. By rewarding your dog you can give them treats, but I would suggest that. When giving your dog treats they can sometimes take advantage of the situation and not pay attention to what you are asking them to do because they might smell the treats on you and thats all they will be thinking about. The only reward a dog needs whenever you are training them is to pet them whenever they do something correctly. If you show your dog that you love him by petting him the dog will trust you and rely on you for answers.

Another thing you need to remember is teach your dog one thing at a time. If you try to teach him too many things at once the dog will get confused and make the wrong decisions. Get one command mastered then move on to the next. This can also go back to keeping the situations you are going to put your dog in simple and easy so they can make good decisions.

Also whenever you correct your dog for doing wrong make sure you correct him in at the act. Never try to correct your dog after he/she has done something wrong because that will then only confuse your dog more. So remember these tips when trying to train your dog. For more help and tips with DOG TRAINING CLICK on the link at the bottom of the article.

Always be consistent with what you are teaching, never scold your dog after the act is done with you have to catch him in the act for your teaching to work, and reward your dog when a reward is need. Dog Training – Train Your Dog To Not Chase Anyone

Article by John Fields

Predator animals have a natural instinct to chase. Dogs are natural predators. They will run after things or people. Of course this is inappropriate behavior for a house pet.

Begin training your dog as early as you can. When the dog is smaller, he is less of a threat to others and easier to control. This especially is true with breeds that can grow very big or for those breeds that are very aggressive by nature. Joggers or anyone else will be very scared when a dog is chasing them.

Some breeds are easier to train than others. Those dogs that have been raised for hunters or herders might have much more of an instinct to chase than other dogs. Regardless of his breed, do not let the dog outside without the leash until he no longer chases.

Let the dog be trained in an area that is closed and does not have others around. The dog will learn how you want him to behave in this closed safe area. Go over and over the proper behavior in this setting, letting him concentrate on you. The place to do this is in your home. Put the leash and collar on the dog and then show him a ball. The animal should not touch the ball. Push the ball to the other end of the room and state off

How to Train Dogs

It may seem like a very simple task at first, but training dogs isn’t a walk in the park. You see, even before you can actually walk your dog to the park, you have to teach your pooch to be obedient. Your dog won’t do anything for you unless you teach it the basics. Dogs are adventurous and playful creatures, so it is very important for you to take control of these attributes. Here are some tips on how to train dogs.

Be Consistent

Dogs descended from wolves. This means that they go by the pack system. To get your dog’s trust, you have to show that you are a good leader – the leader of the pack. The trick is to establish yourself firmly. No is no and that’s your dog’s only option. Naturally, your new pet will test you and try to push boundaries. Show that this can’t be done and your rule is the law. However, you should so this in a non-threatening way.

Use positive reinforcements and instill the idea that obedience entails reward.

Use Your Eyes

Using eye contact is an important thing to do if you want to reinforce your leadership. This lets the dog see that you know what you are doing and that you are very serious about giving instructions. Look into your dog’s eyes when giving instructions. This will show him or her that you are the authority figure to be followed.

Use Fair Punishment

Even the most good natured dogs can get a bit disobedient sometimes. Dog’s playful and adventurous nature carries them away and causes them to disobey you. In an even this happens, do not use force or violence. Beating your dog, hitting it, or screaming at it will only instill fear. This will be detrimental to your pet.

He or she might develop traumas and not be capable of responding normally. So if your dog disobeys you, use a disappointed tone and use gestures. Show that you are upset. Maintain eye contact when doing so. Some forms of sensible punishment is sending your pet to the doghouse, taking away a toy, and not giving doggie treats.

Be Compassionate

Show your pet that aside from being a leader, you can also be a friend. Being a good owner will make your dog loyal to you. He or she will gladly follow everything you say. Show affection and appreciation for a job well done. This will motivate your pet t be obedient.
